Two women have been cut from their cars after a crash just outside the Medway Tunnel.
A yellow Ford Focus and red Ford Ka were involved in a collision on the westbound carriageway in Vanguard Way, heading towards Strood, just after 9am.
Two fire engines went to the scene and had to cut off the roofs of both cars.
Both women, one in her 20s and the other in her 30s, have been taken to hospital complaining of back, neck and abdominal pain.
The first lane of the tunnel has been closed while the emergency services deal with the incident.
A broken down car separate from the crash is also causing delays.
The lane reopened at 11.15am.
