Young Maidstone biker fights for life after crash with car in Rochester

A young biker is fighting for his life in hospital today after a crash in Rochester last night.
The 20-year-old motorcyclist, from Maidstone, suffered life-threatening injuries while his teenage pillion passenger was badly hurt.
His passenger - an 18-year-old woman from Gillingham - suffered serious leg injuries.
Their green Kawasaki motorcycle was in a crash with a silver Audi A4 in City Way near Arthur Road, towards Star Hill, at about 9.40pm.
Both bike riders were taken to a London hospital, Kent Police said.
The car driver, a 65-year-old man from Rochester, suffered minor injuries and did not need to go to hospital.
Kent Police are urging witnesses or anyone with information to phone the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538, quoting 30-1862.
