Midfielder Aaron Morris hopes the Gills can keep hold of their X-factor in the January transfer window.
Bradley Dack lit up Priestfield on Saturday with another classy display, scoring one and helping create two more, in the 3-0 win over Bradford.
Close friend and team-mate Morris is hoping the Gills can stay in the hunt for promotion and that 13-goal Dack can continue to play his part.“He is a class act and a great player,” said Welshman Morris. “Everyone around the ground, the boys and the staff know what a talent he is, he just needs to keep finding the net and keep assisting.
“I don’t want to say we are a one-man team because the team are doing so well but at the same time Bradley is that X-factor, he gets those goals and he is a different kind of player.
“If we are able to keep him that would be fantastic for the club, the fans, myself and all the other boys.”
Gills manager Justin Edinburgh has already said he hopes to keep the player but knows money talks.
Speculation has been rife all season over Dack’s future but the player has continued to keep his focus on the pitch.
“The speculation probably makes him play better,” said Morris. “I think he quite likes the attention of the press and people coming to watch him. Hopefully we can keep hold of him.”
