Defender Callum Davies has joined National League side Eastleigh on loan.
The 22-year-old could feature for them on Tuesday night against his former club Dover Athletic if his registration is completed in time.
Eastleigh are managed by Gills’ former assistant boss Richard Hill and currently sit sixth in the table.
Gills boss Justin Edinburgh said: “He’s going to Eastleigh to get some minutes playing at centre-half and hopefully he can then come back here and push for a place in the team.”
Davies has risen through the ranks with the Gills but has never managed to establish himself as a regular first team player.
Since making his debut in 2010, he has made 39 appearances for the Gills.
He played one game for Bromley at the start of this season but was recalled early. Davies had a brief loan spell at Dover last season but that was cut short by injury in December. It kept him out for the remainder of the campaign.
