Chatham teenager George Elmore is proving unbeatable in the Formula 4 British Circuit Powerboat Association (CPA) Championship.
The 19-year-old, who races for the Kingfisher Fire and Security Powerboat Team and is in his debut season in the F4 class, leads the way in the championship after wins in the opening two rounds.
Round two was held at Stewartby Powerboat and Hydroplane Club, in Bedfordshire.
Elmore and his team have put in what can only be described as faultless performances in both rounds so far this season, gaining two pole positions and eight heat wins, which means he’s achieved a maximum 42 points available.
When asked about his recent win, Elmore said “The championship couldn’t have started better for us, winning both rounds seems unreal and I couldn’t be happier.
“Although it’s my first season racing in the Formula 4 class, I’ve really taken to the Kingfisher boat and it suits my driving style.
“Don’t get me wrong I’m still learning but having the support of my family, and all the team has been brilliant and the racing has just seemed to go our way.”
He added: “The team have set up the boat perfectly and we’re making changes all the time to make sure we can do our best to stay on top.”
Their next outing is the Sprint Championship on August 3-4.
