Chatham Town switch focus from the FA Cup to the FA Trophy when they take on Redbridge

Chatham Town must put their FA Cup dream to one side this weekend as the FA Trophy takes priority.
Kevin Watson’s men meet fellow Ryman League, Division 1 North side Redbridge in the preliminary round on Saturday.
And it’s a journey into the unknown for Watson, as his side take on a much-changed team.
Watson said: “Their manager and players left for Maldon and a lot of the Redbridge team have come in from Tilbury, so it’s been a bit of a merry-go-round there.
“It will be a tough place to go but it’s going to be about how we apply ourselves.
“We are capable of beating the likes of Redbridge on our day but unfortunately we don’t have ‘our day’ enough and that’s why we are towards the lower end of the table.”
Chatham are without Kalvin Morath Gibbs for the trip.
Watson’s men return to their FA Cup venture next weekend and have been drawn away to Horsham – a team sitting 19th in Ryman League, Division 1 South.
