Chatham Town sign striker Andy Constable from Erith & Belvedere

Andy Constable has joined Chatham from newly-promoted Ryman League Division 1 North rivals Erith & Belvedere.
The striker netted 19 league goals last season to help the Deres clinch the Kent League championship.
Constable is one of two players making the move from Park View Road, with midfielder Kieran McCann having also signed for the Chats this week.
Chatham manager Kevin Watson said: “We’re at the stage where we’re trying to cherry-pick players who will improve us.
“Andy’s been a proven prolific striker over the last five seasons. He’s somebody who’s come into form late in his career.
“I’ve been trying to get him for a while. He’s got the right attitude and he’ll help some of our younger players.”
Watson added: “Kieran’s extremely fit, which you need to be in the modern game. He’s got good technical ability as well and he’ll fit into the way we play.
“A couple of other clubs were chasing him but we managed to secure his signature. This is a club where he can progress and he’s got the same vision as us, which is good.”
