Cody McDonald is hoping to maintain his goalscoring form when Gillingham entertain Oldham in League 1

Cody McDonald is hoping to continue his prolific form in front of goal when Gillingham entertain Oldham on Saturday.
The striker is enjoying one his best runs in a Gillingham shirt after scoring six goals in his last seven appearances.
“I am loving playing games at the moment,” said the 28-year-old.
“I am relishing getting chances and enjoying it. When you are scoring and doing well, it is
enjoyable.
“Most of my chances are going in at the moment – that’s the way it goes. I could go on a spell where I don’t score but it has gone well so far.
“This is one of my best runs and hopefully this can continue and I can keep playing a part in the season.”
Gillingham’s players have been let off the leash a little in between permanent managers and McDonald is one of those benefiting from the attacking mentality.
He said: “I am getting more chances. We are playing an attacking brand of football although
we weren’t quite as open on Saturday.
“We were more solid at the back and I don’t think, apart from the penalty, Nels really had a shot to save."
