The last time I played against MK Dons I scored with a volley into the top corner.
If I can grab a goal against them on Saturday that would be two in two and I would be delighted.
It’s a team I know well, having lived just outside the town in a village called Woburn. As a kid I was with them for a short while before I went to Luton.
It is always good to play against your home team and it would be exciting to play in a stadium just around the corner from my house.
We beat them 4-1 in the Checkatrade Trophy and I managed to do all right. I scored from just inside the box and a goal is a goal, it doesn’t matter who it is against but when you score against your home team, it does add a bit of sentimental value.
I used to watch them play as a kid and I played for MK in their old hockey stadium but never at Stadium MK. Hopefully, if selected, it will be a good one.
In the end, after six months with MK Dons, I was offered a scholarship by Luton Town.
Luton were in the Championship at the time and MK were League 2 so it was a good move for me. It has always been a team I have looked out for.
I was delighted to be back playing again last Saturday. It was a good day but a shame we couldn’t get the win with the amount of chances we created.
Against a fairly good team, who should be up there at the end of the season, we created a lot. It was just a shame we didn’t take our chances but there were some positives there. I had a chance myself that didn’t go for me, I headed it wide but hopefully I will get more chances and a few more goals.
I tore a ligament in my knee during pre-season so that was frustrating but I managed to get to 60 minutes against Bradford and so I just have another 30 minutes to make up, fitness wise.
If I can keep improving every week then I should be there in no time. I did start to cramp up a bit last weekend, so it was better to come off rather than getting injured.
My first game in five weeks and playing 60 minutes wasn’t too bad. I was pleased to get those minutes.
