Adam Dingsdale is ready for the step up after making light work of his challenger at York Hall.
The 27-year-old Hoo boxer plans to relinquish his Southern Area lightweight belt following a 99-94 points win over Michael Devine.
Dingsdale’s latest eye-catching win sets him up for a mandatory English title challenge or he could even be in line for a shot at the British title. Either way, the Hoo man is on the way up.
He said: “After this one I’m hoping to be fighting for something good. I want to keep moving forward and want something big.”
Dingsdale’s only two defeats have come to world-level fighters, including WBA title holder Derry Mathews.
He said: “Both were world class fighters and I wasn’t beaten by much in either. I am looking to step it up from this level now.”
