Adam Dingsdale has gone the extra mile to prepare for his next big fight.

A two-week training camp in Thailand has helped him get in top condition for his forthcoming shot at the English title.

It’s a fight that will earn the winner a crack at the British crown.

With an opportunity like that on the horizon, Hoo boxer Dingsdale hasn’t wasted any opportunity, ahead of his meeting with the current English lightweight title holder Kevin Hooper.

He said: “I was over there on holiday but I still managed to get some training done to help with my weight. It just came right off.

“I did a lot of fitness work throughout the day, every day.”

Dingsdale, who fights out of Bromley's iBox Gym, was working at the world-renowned Tiger Muay Thai gym on the picturesque island of Phuket.

It’s a venue where some of the top athletes in the world prepare to fight, in a variety of disciplines.

The English title fight takes place on March 11 at the less glamorous coastal resort of Cleethorpes.

It’s an opportunity Dingsdale has been waiting for.

The 28-year-old said: “This is massive for me. I have dreamed about winning a title like the English or the British one. It’s what I’ve trained to be a professional for.

“I would love to be British champion eventually but taking the English one would mean just as much. The opportunity is there and I’ve got to do it.”
