Invicta Dynamos are through to semi-finals of the NIHL Southern play-offs.

Mos beat the Cardiff Devils 16-5 on aggregate after winning both legs of the quarter-final in comprehensive fashion.

Invicta made a perfect start, winning the first leg in the Welsh capital 6-2 on Saturday night.
Andy Smith, who made his 371st appearance for Invicta in the game, more than any other player, celebrated by scoring two of the goals.

Mos led 2-0 at the end of the first period through Daniel Hammond and Juraji Huska.

Smith, Christopher Cooke and Callum Fowler, who was voted the NIHL South Division 1 player-of-the- year earlier in the week, had extended the lead to 5-2 by the end of the second before Smith completed the scoring late in the final period.

Hammond also scored the opening goal in the second leg in Gillingham on Sunday night before captain Anthony Leone made it 2-0 by the first break.

Huska (2), Fowler and Smith all netted in the second period as Mos powered into a 6-1 lead.

Leone completed his hat-trick with the first two goals in the final period before Smith and Arran Strawson found the back of the net.

Defenders Ryan Giles and Shaun Yardley missed both games through injury and have both been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.

Mos now face Wightlink Raiders, with the first leg played on the Isle of Wight on Saturday and the second in Gillingham on Sunday.

Chelmsford Chieftains take on Streatham Redskins in the other semi-final.
