Invicta Dynamos face Chelmsford Chieftains in league and cup action this weekend

Invicta Dynamos will be prepared for a Chelmsford Chieftains side out to avenge Sunday’s big defeat when they meet for a double-header this weekend.
The Mos put the disappointment of last Saturday’s abandoned game in Gillingham behind them as they registered a 12-3 win on the road against the Chieftains the following day.
It’s a double header between the sides this weekend, with the Mos hosting the Essex outfit at Planet Ice on Saturday in the Southern Cup before heading across the county border to take them on again in NIHL South Division 1.
Dynamos fans were singing loudly last Sunday as Karl Lennon’s side clinched a huge win at the Riverside venue in the Southern Cup. Tom Long - a former Chelmsford player - bagged a hat-trick in the rout.
“From the very first face-off to the last seconds of the game the boys were absolutely incredible,” said head coach Lennon. “The application what we set out as a game-plan was perfect, they didn’t waver from it throughout the whole game and they showed great togetherness as well which for me as a coach is all I can ask.
“We had 60-70 away fans cheering us on and they were louder than the Chelmsford fans all night, that gave us energy and the only real down side to the whole game was the fact we picked up a few injuries.
“Tom Long is one of our older guys who has been out for a while and came back to play and got a hat-trick against his old town club, he was from Chelmsford originally, he is now down in Ashford but he enjoyed that one!
"The performances were incredible from everyone.”
Soar, who grabbed a couple of goals, is likely to be missing for several weeks after suffering a dislocated collarbone after a collision.
Looking ahead to this weekend, Lennon said: “We have to work hard in practice and we need to make sure we are prepared for what is to come.
"I won’t be resting on what we have got, that is behind us now, we will focus on what is coming.
"We have back to back games with them in the cup and league, we have put ourselves in a good position confidence wise to go into that with full steam.”
