Gillingham can relegate Notts County on Sunday and boss Justin Edinburgh has promised his side will be at full-tilt.

Notts arrive at Priestfield needing a win to make sure of their place in League 1 next season while the Gills are comfortable in 12th.

But that doesn’t mean County, one of six clubs battling to beat the drop, can expect a gentle ride on the final day of the season.

Edinburgh said: “We owe it to the rest of the league to make sure the game is played in the correct way. That would never cross our minds anyway. We’ll be at full-strength.

“Would anyone be doing us a favour if the roles were reversed? I doubt it. In terms of doing favours, there will be no favours from us.

“It’s about us finishing positively and putting on a performance. It’s not for us to be concerned or worry about Notts County’s position or anyone else’s that are in a position to go down. That’s for them to be concerned about and for us to just worry about ourselves.

“We’re looking to finish with three points, we want to get to 60 points and above and this is a perfect opportunity.”

Edinburgh’s strongest side is likely to include Aaron Morris, Bradley Dack and John Marquis, who were all left on the bench at Scunthorpe last weekend.
