Holcombe Hockey Club have been chosen to host the women's EuroHockey Club Trophy next year.
Some of Europe's best players will be in action at Holcombe Park between April 19-22 – the first time the club have hosted a EuroHockey event.
Teams from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Spain and Belgium are among those joining Holcs in the battle for success, while, closer to home, Ireland and Scotland will be represented, too.
Holcs are no strangers to glory in the Club Trophy, having won the tournament last season in Ireland, but their confirmation as hosts is certain to raise the profile of the game in Medway even further.
Holcombe chairman Jon Rye said: “We are delighted to have been selected as host of the EuroHockey Club Trophy (Women) 2019.
"It is our first time hosting a EuroHockey event, and one that will give a buzz to our members and local community.
"After a successful EuroHockey campaign last season for our ladies 1st XI, it seemed only fitting that the club applied to host the 2019 Trophy and allowed our hockey family to share in the EuroHockey excitement.
"It will certainly help the club and hockey family increase the visibility of our sport.
"Our volunteers will work tirelessly to ensure that players, spectators, EHF officials, media and sponsors receive a warm welcome at Holcombe Park."
