Kent Charity Boxing have another show on the horizon and have been getting plenty of praise for their efforts.
Their latest show will take place on June 11 at the Lordswood Leisure Centre and once again training will be provided free of charge for anyone wishing to take part - even complete beginners.
The KCB team’s last event took place on April 23 and involved 15 bouts.
Many of the boxers have been contacting the coaches to show their appreciation. Wex Hammell and Nick Seager are providing the training and Darren Clayton the promoting, with others on hand to assist.
Samantha Binfield was one of those to take part and said: “When I walked through the doors seven weeks ago I was nervous and (it was) quite intimidating walking into a gym full of guys but everyone has made me feel really welcome. It’s one big family.
“I can’t thank the trainers enough for getting me through it - I can’t wait until the next one.”
Jenny McDonagh described the team as a “wonderful trio” adding: “You can tell they love boxing and really care about the fighter.”
Youngster Nathan MacGrath was involved in a junior contest.
Kent Charity Boxing can be contacted through Facebook. There will be a KCB Belt on the line for the June 11 show when John Alausa takes on Tom Wells in a rematch after the first bout ended in a draw.
