Defender Ben Nugent's return adds to options for Gillingham's trip to Blackpool

Ben Nugent’s return from injury at the weekend was a timely boost for the Gills.
The big defender has been out for the last seven games with a foot injury but he came off the bench late on during the win at Walsall.
Boss Steve Lovell will be a central defender short for Tuesday's trip to Blackpool (Tuesday) following Max Ehmer’s red card.
Lovell said: “Ben came on for the last (few minutes), which was nice. It’s always nice to have someone coming back from injury who you can rely on and put in.”
But Nugent may not necessarily be straight back in the starting XI for the midweek clash at Bloomfield Road, with Lovell not short of options.
Lovell added: “Connor Ogivlie has gone in again (at centre-half) and done a great job, so we will have a look at the way Blackpool will possibly line-up and address that on Monday.”
Gillingham have won their last three matches now away from home in the league, four times in all competitions.
“It is nice to win one, never mind win three on the trot!” joked Lovell.
“I am so pleased for the boys, they worked so hard, in a different kind of game.
“In the last two games against Peterborough and Rotherham we have created a number of chances and we didn’t create that many this time.
“We were down to 10 men for 20 minutes but up until then we hadn’t created many chances because first of all we weren’t holding the ball up well enough up top and also because of theway Walsall played.
“Sometimes you have to give them credit. They kept the ball very well and they did well to stop us creating chances.”
Looking ahead to Tuesday, Lovell added: “It’s a long trip (to Blackpool) and there is no reason why we can’t perform like we did defensively against Walsall. If we mix that with the other two away games, where we created, then we could have another good result.”
