Connor Mahoney has been reunited with former Gillingham boss Stephen Clemence.
Mahoney, who spent last season on loan at Priestfield from Huddersfield, has followed Clemence to Barrow.
The winger has signed a two-year deal with the Cumbrians following the expiry of his Terriers contract.
It means he’ll be facing Gillingham in League 2 next season, with the fixtures due to be released on Wednesday, June 26.
The 27-year-old scored the third goal when Clemence’s Gills beat Barrow 3-0 at Priestfield in April.
Mahoney told the Bluebirds website: “I’m delighted to be here.
“I came up to Barrow this morning, got everything sorted and I’m now just really excited for what the future holds.
“It’s been in the pipeline for a few weeks.
“Obviously, with the relationship I’ve got with the gaffer, having played under him at Gillingham last season, we’ve stayed in contact since then and we’ve finally got a deal over the line.
“So I’m excited to be here and look forward to working with him again.”
Mahoney was brought to Gillingham by then-boss Neil Harris, who worked with the former England youth international at Millwall.
Harris’ successor, Clemence, was sacked after failing to reach the League 2 play-offs, but made a quick return to management with Barrow.
