Invicta Dynamos missed leading points scorer Callum Fowler in their shock 4-2 home defeat by Streatham Redskins on Sunday.
Fowler was the only player unavailable for Mos' final NIHL South Division 1 match before Christmas and his absence told as Redskins made the better start and led 1-0 through Callum Best.
The visitors doubled their lead with a powerplay strike from Michal Oravec to leave Mos 2-0 down going into the final period.
Invicta responded with a powerplay strike of their own as Marek Nahlik drove home, only for Streatham to restore their two-goal cushion courtesy of Joe Allen.
Dan Fudger's pass set up Danny Hammond for Invicta's second but Best clinched Streatham's victory.
Mos, who are third in the league, are next in action with the return game at Streatham on January 4.
