Gillingham have landed a home tie against Yeovil in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy area quarter-final.
The Gills avoided the possibility of a long trip west in the southern area draw, which included Plymouth, Bristol Rovers and Yeovil.
Justin Edinburgh’s men booked their place in the next round after beating Luton Town in round two on Tuesday night. The Gills won a bye in the opening round of this season’s competition.

Yeovil are struggling in League 2 this season, sitting third from bottom in the table with just two league wins.
Gillingham knocked Yeovil out of the League Cup last season.
Ties take place on the week commencing November 9.
Draw. North: Wigan v Blackpool, Rochdale v Morecambe, Fleetwood v Sheffield United, Bradford or Barnsley v York.
South: Dagenham v Oxford, Gillingham v Yeovil, Southend v Bristol Rovers, Plymouth v Millwall.
