Gillingham's Jermaine McGlashan is nominated for goal of the round by Johnstone's Paint

Jermaine McGlashan is among the contenders for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Ultimate Finish award.

The Gills winger netted the equalising goal against Crawley Town in the area quarter-final.

His 66

minute strike is one of five goals shortlisted by Johnstone’s Paint during the last round and fans can now vote which one they think is the best.

The successful player will receive the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Ultimate Finish award and claim a place in the Ultimate Finish of the Season competition.

There is also a chance for fans to be a winner with everyone who votes for the successful strike entered into a special prize draw with one lucky winner receiving an iPod Shuffle.

Former Gills loan striker Frank Nouble, now with Coventry City, is also a contender, for his effort against Plymouth.

Ben Wilde, brand and sponsorship manager for Johnstone’s Paint, said: “We are getting closer and closer to the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final at Wembley and the standard of goals for the Ultimate Finish competition remains very high.

“Each Ultimate Finish competition so far this season has been very hotly contested and I’m sure this will be no different.”

Gillingham are through to the area semi-final of the competition and will face Leyton Orient at Priestfield next Saturday.
