Top-class sport continued at Medway Park over the weekend when Great Britain were well-beaten by Hungary in the Under-21 World Handball Championships.

Ryan Goodwin scored the first goal of the game for GB but five unanswered goals for Hungary swung the game in their favour.

Josh Da Silva, Adam Goodwin and Stephen Clarke were also on target for the host country but they trailed by 10 goals at half-time.

It became even more one-sided after the interval, Hungary moving past 20 goals and taking full advantage when Great Britain captain Clarke was sent to the sin-bin.

A goal from Thomas Tysland helped GB into double-figures but Hungary were soon 20 goals clear.

Sam Crocker scored twice in the closing stages to add a touch of respectability to the scoreline.

Meanwhile, the Netherlands beat Israel 42-30 to virtually guarantee themselves a place in the finals.
