Callum Davies has signed an extension to his current Gillingham contract.

The 21-year-old’s deal now runs until the summer of 2016.

Davies has yet to have a long run in the Gills team but is happy with life at Priestfield.

On signing the new deal, he said: “I'm really enjoying my Football so it would be silly not to. I'm pleased to have sorted it out and I can now concentrate on my game.

"This season has gone better than I ever could have imagined.

“I've played more than I thought I would, I've captained the team which was a brilliant experience, so hopefully now I can kick on and let my feet do the talking."

Davies has been with the Gills since the age of seven and has so far made 38 appearances for the club.

This season he has started seven games, including Tuesday night’s game against Colchester United in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
