Isthmian League round-up: Chatham win at Haringey, Hythe get third victory in a week, Sheppey hit four, Sittingbourne win again

Veteran striker Chris Dickson scored twice as Chatham closed the gap on Isthmian Premier leaders Hornchurch on Saturday.

Dickson struck twice as Chats won 3-0 at Haringey, Ben Allen had given the visitors a sixth-minute lead. They now sit nine points behind unbeaten Hornchurch.

Margate sit just one point above the relegation zone following a 2-0 loss at Enfield Town. Goals from Sam Youngs and Reece Beckles-Richards in the first 25 minutes proved decisive.

Folkestone’s scheduled match at home to Cray Wanderers was postponed.

Hythe made it three wins in a week in Isthmian South East after beating Broadbridge Heath 2-1 at Reachfields.

Johan Caney-Bryan scored at the start of the second half before Jack Steventon added a second. The visitors replied through Bradley Peters.

Two goals in as many minutes helped third-placed Sittingbourne come from behind to defeat lowly Phoenix Sports.

Andy Pugh’s spot-kick had put Sports ahead but Donvieve Jones and Bagusan Graham turned the game around with 15 minutes left.

Kyrell Lisbie scored the only goal of the game after 20 minutes as Cray Valley won 1-0 at Herne Bay.

Sevenoaks – who hit seven past Welling in a midweek Kent Senior Cup clash – let slip a two-goal lead at home to Three Bridges.

Kieron Cadogan and Corey Holder put Sevenoaks in charge but Kevin Rivera and Harvey Woollard rescued a point for the visitors.

Two late goals from Jacob Lambert helped Sheppey to a 4-0 victory at Erith & Belvedere.

Alex Willis and Josh Wisson had put the Ites 2-0 ahead in the opening half-hour at Park View Road. Lambert then scored twice in the final 10 minutes to wrap up the points.

Ashford looked to be on course for maximum points at home to Lancing having established a 3-1 half-time lead.

But they conceded three times in the last half-hour, including a 90th-minute winner, to lose 4-3.

Vance Bola scored twice and Tom Carlse also netted in the first half for Kevin Watson’s side.
