Isthmian Premier leaders Dover extended their lead at the top of the table to five points on Saturday.

Dover’s 2-0 victory at Bowers & Pitsea was the seventh league win in their last eight matches for Jake Leberl’s side.

Ruben Soares-Junior put Dover ahead before Luke Baptiste added a second goal with 15 minutes remaining.

Second-placed Cray Valley – who visit Dover in the league this Saturday - were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Potters Bar.

David Hicks gave Potters Bar a first-half lead but Matty Vigor equalised early in the second half and the experienced Tom Beere appeared to have won it for the Millers with six minutes left.

But Ben Ward-Cochrane converted an 89th-minute penalty to claim a point for Potters Bar.

A third successive home win in the space of a fortnight moved Folkestone up to eighth spot.

Dan Smith’s hat-trick proved decisive as they beat Bognor 4-1 at Cheriton Road.

Freddie Sears’ first-minute goal set the tone for Chatham in their 5-0 romp over Whitehawk.

Sears’ strike was added to by Jack Evans’ penalty on 38 minutes. Sears scored again early in the second half before a late John Ufuah brace completed the scoring.

The bottom five all lost, including Cray Wanderers who sit outside the relegation zone on goal difference. Cray were beaten 2-0 at Canvey Island, Bradley Sach scoring both goals.

Gary Lockyer scored twice as Ashford won 3-1 at second-placed Beckenham, who took the lead through Louie Theophanous after just six minutes.

Lockyer levelled and then put his team ahead early in the second half, James Dunne converting a penalty on the hour to wrap up their victory.

Sittingbourne made it nine home wins out of nine after winning 3-0 at home to Sevenoaks.

Donvieve Jones put the Brickies ahead on 14 minutes before Ryan Kingsford added a second before half-time. Troy Howard completed the scoring in second-half stoppage time.

Margate came from two goals down to rescue a point at home to Erith Town.

Ross Craig and James Dyer put the Dockers 2-0 ahead with 18 minutes left. But Brandon Davey pulled one back and Max Walsh scored an equaliser in stoppage time.

Sheppey are a point outside the play-off places following their 3-1 home win over bottom side Phoenix Sports.

Eitel Moumi Goueth and Dan Bradshaw put the Ites 2-0 ahead inside 33 minutes. Richard Pingling pulled one back midway through the second half but substitute Frankie Maclocia wrapped up the points in stoppage time.

Deal’s record of not drawing a league game continued as they went down 5-3 at Eastbourne Town, leaving them with eight wins and nine defeats so far.

It was a remarkable effort by Deal who had Alfie Foster sent off after just three minutes, with James Ding converting the resulting penalty.

Macca Murray scored two penalties for Deal either side of a James Hull goal as the teams went in level 2-2 at the break.

Ding and Hull then put Eastbourne 4-2 ahead before Tom Chapman pulled one back, only for Ding to complete his hat-trick with eight minutes left.

Ellis Brown was the toast of Hythe after his double gave them a key 3-2 home win over fellow strugglers Steyning Town.

Ed Kazlauskas put Steyning ahead inside five minutes before Brown equalised just before half-time.

Vance Bola put Hythe ahead with 20 minutes left and Steyning were reduced to 10 men when Billy Fuller was sent off. Nathan Da Costa equalised on 85 minutes only for Brown to then claim all three points with the winner two minutes into stoppage time.
