Chatham heavyweight Moses Itauma produces devastating first-round stoppage of Michal Boloz at York Hall | Teenager wants to fight English champion Solomon Dacres next year

Moses Itauma has titles on his mind after ending his first year in professional boxing with a ruthless stoppage victory.
The Chatham heavyweight prospect blew away replacement opponent Michal Boloz inside a minute of the opening round in Friday’s contest at York Hall, Bethnal Green.
Polish boxer Boloz was floored by a big left hook and the bout was waved off after a devastating display of punching power sent him to the canvas for the second time.
Itauma was on a different level in extending his professional record to 7-0, including five stoppages.
“I showed some speed, showed some power, showed some accuracy and I’ll be back out as soon as possible,” the 18-year-old told Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions YouTube channel.
“When I have fights like this that go one round, I could box tomorrow.”
Itauma has time on his side but the highly-rated teenager is keen to fight for titles as soon as possible.
One option is English champion Sol Dacres (8-0).
“Next year I’m coming for the titles,” said Itauma.
“Looking to the future, I want to be in more bigger fights.
“I’ve said time and time and again I want to get the sport of boxing good fights and I want to be part of it.
“And when my legacy is dealt with, people can say, ‘I went to watch him at York Hall’.
“I’d fight Solomon Dacres tomorrow.
“He’s the English title holder but I just see easy work in him.
“In Saudi Arabia (where Itauma fought in October) he didn’t want to look at me, so I think I’ve got that one covered.
“I want to get some titles in and good quality rounds and just give entertainment because that’s what boxing is at the end of the day.”
