Brothers Joe Welch and Bailey Harper-Welch will be among those appearing on Sunday’s Kent Charity Boxing Show.
The siblings from Lordswood will be well supported by family and friends ringside and for older brother Joe, 20, he’s not concerned by the result.
He said: “I am pretty confident ahead of the fight but I am not worried about the outcome.
“Obviously, everyone wants to win, but it’s a case that I know I have pushed and done something out of my comfort zone and it is an accomplishment in itself.
“I am just eager to get into the ring now and no matter the outcome I want to carry this on.”
Kent Charity Boxing offer free boxing sessions for those wanting to get in the ring on one of their shows, guided by coaches Darren Clayton, Wayne West and Dave Brown
Sunday’s show takes place at the Lordswood Leisure Centre, with doors open from 5pm. Tickets are available from £25.
TikTok creators cuzzy-boiii, Lankz-ino and Lee James Williams are in attendance with Billy Dean Smith among those who are due to fight.
Welch can’t wait to make his debut in the ring.
He said: “My cousin Reggie Welch has fought on a couple of shows and it is something I had always wanted to do for a while and when my little brother signed up I thought I might as well do it with him!
“It turns out I really enjoy it and it’s something I’ll look to keep doing. I did a half-hour run the other day which is something I would never normally do. The mindset it gets you in is good.
“There’s a great atmosphere at the gym, like one big family.
“Darren and the people that train you there are all supportive and help you achieve your maximum and they are always praising you, no matter what. They give you great motivation.”
The KCB team have thanked those who volunteer at the shows including Abbey Winch, Lesley Clayton, Kerryann Phillips, Darren Skinner and Lewis Spragg - helping raise money for a girl with a rare heart and lung condition.
