Lordswood face Alton this weekend in the regional finals of the ECB National Club Twenty20

Lordswood Cricket Club celebrated a double trophy success last weekend and are keen for more.
There was a league title win for the under-11s in the Medway Youth Cricket League, followed by the senior side’s Kent League Twenty20 triumph.
Club chairman Richard Cross was thrilled and is hoping for a little more silverware before the season is out.
The 1sts and 2nds are both in with an outside chance of a Kent League title, the 3rds are going strong in Kent Regional 2A Central and the 4th XI are top of their league.
“I couldn’t be happier at the moment,” the chairman said.
“It’s all ticking over nicely in what is a season of high optimism as we celebrate the memory of Colin (Gardener) and Peter (Edmonds). Without them this wouldn’t all be possible.
“They would both have been ridiculously proud of the under-11s who went through the season unbeaten with a team that clicked and got it right.
“We had two Colts players in the T20 team playing, another 18-year-old and a number of homegrown players and it’s a fitting tribute.
“We hope this isn’t the end of the silverware though. The 2s had a fantastic win on Saturday, their sixth on the bounce, and the 1sts are fourth. The 3rds are doing well and the 4ths have got a good little side, considering they get what’s left.”
Lordswood beat Hartley in the semi-finals of the Kent T20 competition, played at Beckenham, before going onto then beat Tunbridge Wells in the final.
The regional finals take place on Sunday in Horsham. Lordswood are up against Southern Premier Division side Alton in the semi-final. Guildford and Roffey contest the other match.
