Jason Lillis is hoping Lordswood play the underdog role to perfection in their FA Cup tie against Hythe Town on Saturday.

Hythe are second-bottom in Ryman League Division 1 South, having won just one of their first six games under the management of Tim Dixon.

That means Lordswood, of the Southern Counties East League, might fancy their chances.

"They’re the odds-on favourites," Lillis insisted. "They’re in a higher position than us, so they’ve got to be favourites. I know a few of their players, I worked with them last year (at Whitstable). They’re big and strong.

"Being at home helps, but I don’t care where we play. If the team turns up on the day and does what you ask them to do, you’ve got a chance.

"It’s a big game for the club. We’ll try to get some people through the gate; that helps.

"It’s a plumb draw, a Kent derby and it should be a good game. I know Timmy Dixon well and he sets his sides out right."
