Welterweight boxer Louis Greene has made a successful defence of his Southern Area title.
The Strood boxer, 25, is now on 9-0 after a second-round stoppage against Joe Hayes in his first defence of the area title, which he won back in September.
Trainer and dad John Greene said: “Louis did everything right and it was hard to fault anything. He dominated from the first round.”
Greene dropped Hayes with a left hook to the body in the second and the referee waved it off after Hayes was left taking a barrage on the ropes.
“He was brave, “ said Greene senior of the Dorset fighter, who had gone into the contest with just one defeat from his nine pro fights. But it was one-way traffic and Hayes couldn’t stay with Louis.”
Greene was expected to be taking part in next month's Ultimate Boxxer tournament but is no longer competing.
