Medway under-18 girls have been crowned Kent League champions after winning their final game of the season.
The Golds - one of two teams entered by the club - clinched the title with a 44-17 victory against third-placed Old Alleynians last Sunday.
Leading 15-12 at the break, Medway used the width of the pitch, combined with some clever kicking, to run in five second-half tries and finish seven points clear of the combined Sevenoaks/Old Colfeians team.
A number of the girls were part of Medway’s under-15 Kent champions in 2020.
Medway’s other team, the Scarlets, also finished the league unbeaten.
Medway players, meanwhile, recently helped Kent reach the quarter-finals of the Jason Leonard National Under-20 County Championship.
Kent won 56-19 at Hertfordshire to set-up a home tie against Devon, at Charlton Park, on March 20.
They scored nine tries, including an early opener for Medway man Fankah, while club-mate Timmerman scrummaged well.
