Invicta Dynamos go for their second trophy when they take on Wightlink Raiders in the NIHL Southern play-off final

Invicta Dynamos could win their second trophy of the season this weekend.
The Southern Cup winners beat Milton Keynes Thunder in the NIHL Southern play-off semi-final last week and in their way of more silverware this weekend are the Wightlink Raiders in the final.
Victory in the Southern Cup has given coach Kevin Parrish the taste of success again and he wants more.
He said: “We finished second in the league, we won the cup and have made it to the final of the play-offs. It has been a successful season but we want this as well.
“It’s going to be tough against a side who haven’t had the best season but they have made it to another final and are going to be hungry. We went five years without any silverware and I spoke to the lads a couple of weeks ago about how we went six or seven years continually winning things. You can take it for granted.
“Lifting the Southern Cup felt so good and I’ve got massive desire to lift another trophy.
“We’re playing the play-off in front of our own fans and it will be great if they have something to smile about on Sunday night.”
The Mos head to Planet Ice in Ryde on Saturday for the first leg before the decider in Gillingham on Sunday (face-off 5.15pm).
Parrish said: “Their rink is tight, it will be physical and demanding but it’s not going to be won or lost on the first game. We’ve played each other six times and won three each, so it’s tight between us.”
