Invicta Dynamos take on Wightlink Raiders over two legs for a play-off final spot
08:00, 11 April 2014
Invicta Dynamos will be on home ice on Sunday as they target a play-off final spot.
The Mos comfortably negotiated their way past Cardiff Devils 16-5 on aggregate last weekend to set up a semi-final showdown with Wightlink Raiders.
The Raiders finished the season second in Division 1 South – a place above the Dynamos.
Champions Chelmsford Chieftains are likely to await the winners, in the play-off final, assuming they beat Streatham.
The Mos have the upper-hand in meetings with the Raiders this season. They have met eight times and Invicta have won five of them.
But the most recent meeting came on March 22, on the Isle of Wight, where the Mos went down 7-4. With it went their hopes of a second-placed finish.
The first leg sees the Mos travel to the Ryde Arena on Saturday before returning home to the Silver Blades arena the following day. The puck drops at 5.15pm on Sunday.
Defenders Ryan Giles and Shaun Yardley missed both games through injury and have both been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.
