Striker Liam Nash is heading back out on loan.

The 22-year-old recently had a loan stint at Dulwich Hamlet and joins their National League South rivals Concord Rangers.

He has joined them for a month and is eligable to make his debut in their game at Weston-super-Mare on Saturday.

Nash had a disappointing spell at Dulwich, making just two league starts for them.

He was an unused substitute in their game against Chippenham and didn’t play a part in their two FA Cup fixtures.

Nash joined the Gills in the summer of 2017, signing from Maldon & Tiptree, where had had been a prolific finisher.

But his time at Gillingham has failed to take off, making just two league starts and 10 off the bench.

Despite his lack of action with the first team, manager Steve Lovell believes the striker has had plenty of chance to impress.

Speaking about Nash last week, Lovell said: "He is a good lad and works hard. He went out on loan to Dulwich Hamlet but he only played a couple of games and they sent him back. It is about finding these boys the level where they are going to produce.

“You could say, ‘well he hasn’t been given a chance’ but he has had chances.

“He hasn’t started games but players have to warrant it and show me they are ready to do that. By playing in the reserve games or when they go out on loan, that is where you can judge them.

“Even in training we can see things and make decisions. If they show that desire in training, they have a chance with us and especially now with so many injuries.”

Nash scored for the Gills last week in a reserve outing at Sevenoaks, netting off the bench in a 3-1 win.

His only game for the first team this season was at Portsmouth in the Checkatrade Trophy, playing 25 minutes as a second half substitute. Gillingham lost 4-0.

In his 15 appearances overall, Nash has yet to score for the Gills.

The striker also spent time out on loan last season, with more success. He scored six goals in nine games for Bostik Premier side Leatherhead - including a hat-trick against Wingate & Finchley - leading to manager Lovell recalling him.
