Boss Justin Edinburgh has made nine new signings over the summer as he looks to better last season’s mid-table finish.

Josh Pritchard wasn’t in the picture, as he continues to look for employment elsewhere, while trialist Josh Wright was also excluded, with Edinburgh continuing to weigh up his options.

Stuart Nelson will battle for the no.1 spot alongside Glenn Morris after proving this summer that he is willing to fight for his place in the side.

Youngster Emmanuel Osadebe also managed to work his way into the first-team squad picture, having had an impressive pre-season.

The Gills kick off their new campaign at home on Saturday against League 1 title favourites Sheffield United.
