Nondas Palaiokrassas puts in textbook display as TKO Elite fighter beats Norwich's Abdullah Aga at Thetford Victory Kickboxing series

TKO Elite’s Nondas Palaiokrassas wasn’t going to let an overweight opponent and some long-term injuries stop him on Saturday.
Fighting in Thetford, at the prestigious Victory Kickboxing series event, the Chatham-based club's Palaiokrassas overcame Norwich’s Abdullah Aga - a rival who had weighed in two kilos over the agreed limit.
Confident in his ability and not wishing to let down his army of supporters the fight went ahead as planned, just four weeks after he was last in action.
Despite some long-term injuries hindering his training preparation he remained committed to the event. Palaiokrassas and his team decided to see it through, putting on a masterclass on how to defeat a bigger opponent.
Showing excellent ring control, great head movement and making use of feints to draw his opponents' lead, he countered well in each round, scoring with accurate jabs and with great use of his low roundhouse kick which helped slow his opponent.
At the end, although one judge turned in a bizarre fight card in Aga’s favour, justice was done with the other two judges handing in clear scorecards for the TKO Elite fighter giving him the win.
After a busy year, in which he has engaged in nine fights at locations across the country, scoring eight wins and establishing himself as one of the top in his age and weight class in the rankings, Palaiokrassas will now be resting from full training before returning to action in the new year.
