Peter Taylor freshened up his defensive options on transfer deadline day.

Young defender Callum Davies joined Dover on loan while Charlton Athletic’s Harry Lennon signed on at the Gills.

Both deals are until early January.

Lennon will go straight into Saturday’s squad and will be vying for a place in the side along with fellow newcomer Max Ehmer.

New signing Lennon, 19, played for League 2 Cambridge United earlier this season, making just three appearances before being recalled by the Addicks.

He has made just three appearances for Charlton, all last season.

Lennon, who joins until January 3, fills the void left by the departure of Davies.

Dover have signed 21-year-old Davies on a deal until January 4.

He is coming back from injury, after missing the last eight games with a foot problem. Minutes on the pitch at Crabble should get him back to full fitness.

It’s Davies’ second spell with Dover, having played and impressed during a loan last season. He goes straight into the squad for the trip to Gateshead on Saturday.
