Gillingham have injury concerns over three key players with the League 1 kick-off a fortnight away.
Cody McDonald and Jake Hessenthaler picked up injuries in Gills’ pre-season trip to France, while Doug Loft has a calf problem.
The trio missed Tuesday night’s win at Bromley and are unlikely to feature at Dover on Saturday, 3pm.
Boss Justin Edinburgh said: “Cody picked up an injury out in France. It was a tackle – unfortunately things like that happen in training.
“Jake, in the game we played, picked up a bad tackle and Doug’s got a bit of a sore calf.
“He came back a little bit too soon so we’ve had to shut him down for a while. Hopefully, they will all be OK for the start of the season.”
Injuries aside, Edinburgh got plenty out of Gills’ time in France.
He said: “We worked tremendously hard, three sessions a day but that’s what it was for.
“We’ll start to see the benefits at the end of this week and going into next week.”
