Joe Gbode and Taite Holtam to play in Gillingham's FA Youth Cup Second Round match against Plymouth Argyle at Priestfield

Striker Joe Gbode is set to be involved in the FA Youth Cup - just two days after starting in Gillingham’s FA Cup match at Dagenham.
The Gillingham under-18s face Plymouth Argyle’s academy side at Priestfield in the second round of the youth cup tonight (Monday).
“Joe will be involved,” first-team boss Neil Harris confirmed. “I don’t want to take that opportunity away from him, he will be involved in some capacity, as will Taite, they will both be involved.”
Taite Holtam - the youth keeper - has been on the bench for the Gills in recent games after first-choice stopper Glenn Morris was injured, meaning a starting role for previous back-up goalie Jake Turner.
Gbode, who is only 17 and a second year youth scholar, made his first Gillingham start in the league game at Crawley last Tuesday and was named in the starting eleven again at Dagenham in the FA Cup on Saturday.
He was on loan at Hastings United - his second stint this season - but got a recall as Harris needed extra options upfront after becoming frustrated with his under-performing senior forwards.
Gbode was one of four goalscorers as the Gills beat Corinthian Casuals in round one of the FA Youth Cup at Priestfield. They won the match 4-1 wit Alex Giles, Sam Gale and Ronald Sithole also on target.
Fans can watch the FA Youth Cup match, which kicks off at 7pm, with tickets available in the Medway Stand. Tickets cost £7 for adults, £5 concessions and £1 for under-14s.
