HUNTSMAN, of the Medway Today Sunday Football League's Division 5, face expulsion from the competition after their side walked off in the 19th minute of the weekend match against Medway Leisure.
Leisure were leading 2-0 at the time. Huntsman took the action after one of their players had been sent off and another cautioned. The team later returned to the field and offered to resume playing by which time the referee had abandoned the match.
Colin Boswell, secretary of the Medway Today Sunday League, said: "Our management committee are awaiting the findings of the Kent County FA into this case before deciding what action shall be taken against Huntsman.
"Should the case be proved then we cannot rule out the possibility of Huntsman being expelled from the competition because we cannot have teams taking the law into their own hands and just walking off. However, we have been impressed with the responsible attitude taken by the Huntsman secretary over this unfortunate matter."
