Enforced changes will be made again as Peter Taylor prepares for the visit of old rivals Swindon Town.

The Gills tackle Swindon on Tuesday night at Priestfield but once again injury concerns are making life tough for Taylor.

Wing-backs Joe Martin (knee) and Josh Hare (concussion) were both stretchered off in Gillingham’s win over Yeovil on Saturday. Both will miss the Swindon clash.

Martin’s injury isn’t, however, thought to be as serious as first thought and he could be back soon.

It will mean Taylor making changes either side of his defence.

On Saturday both Matt Fish and Brennan Dickenson came off the bench, despite not being fully fit.

“We were down to 19 on Saturday,” said the Gills boss.

“It was a bit of a risk with Dickenson because had he fallen on his shoulder again then that would have been a problem.

“I think Fish did well. He didn’t really have 90 minutes in him so to come on at that time he has done well to get through it.”

McGlashan (hamstring) is “making good progress” and could be ready for the weekend, as could Cody McDonald (ankle).

Taylor’s Gillingham beat Swindon 2-0 at Priestfield last season and the Gills boss is hoping for a repeat performance.

“I know it is always a bit of special game us versus Swindon,” Taylor said.

“We played really well against them last year and I would like to do the same again.”
