Gillingham will be all too aware of the threat posed by Blackburn Rovers playmaker Bradley Dack this weekend.

He moved to Ewood Park in the summer from Gillingham for £750,000.

Director of football Peter Taylor was involved in the deal and now, as interim boss, he will be out to stop Dack putting one over the Gills.

Taylor said: “We know we are up against a dangerous player on Saturday.

“Bradley has got fantastic potential. When he is right on his game he is a very good player and that is why Tony Mowbray signed him.

“(Tony) said to me he was interested when he saw him play for Gillingham against Coventry, when Tony was there. Coventry won the game that day but he thought that Bradley kept going and kept moving around and that is exactly what he does.

“If he concentrates on his football, he is a very good player.”

Gillingham will have a key player back themselves this weekend, as captain Lee Martin returns from suspension.

Taylor said: “He is an important player for this team.

“He has been at some good clubs, he can handle the ball, he is experienced, he is quite clever and we need people like that.”

Conor Wilkinson missed the Scunthorpe game on Tuesday with a dead leg and remains doubtful for the weekend.
