KentOnline team-of-the-week features players from eight clubs

12:40, 18 September 2017

Players from eight clubs feature in KentOnline’s team-of-the-week.

And there’s only one choice for manager-of-the-week - Gillingham boss Adrian Pennock, who saw his side win for the first time less than 24 hours after reports linking former Newcastle winger Nobby Solano with his job.

Tomas Holy had a brilliant game between the sticks as Gills beat Charlton 1-0 to move off the foot of League 1, deserving his clean sheet.

Seth Twumasi returned at right-back for Maidstone in place of the injured Josh Hare and didn’t put a foot wrong in the 4-1 win at Macclesfield.

At left-back we’ve gone for Ben Wilson of Hythe Town who did his job defensively and also got forward in the 1-0 derby win over Ashford.

At centre-half, towering teenager Lex Allan was the best player on the park as Sittingbourne beat VCD 3-2.

He’s alongside Folkestone’s on-loan Gills defender Finn O’Mara, who scored and was man-of-the-match as Neil Cugley’s side beat Tooting 3-1 in the FA Cup.

Dover’s two widemen make our team with Kadell Daniel man-of-the-match on his first start and Mitch Pinnock scoring his first league goal with a fine drive from the edge of the area in the 4-0 win over Chester.

In the centre, Elliot Bradbrook’s FA Cup hat-trick in Dartford's 3-1 win against Barking means he’s in double figures already - the ninth consecutive season he’s achieved the feat.

He’s partnered by Mark Byrne, who had a storming game in midfield as Gillingham put everything into beating the Addicks.

Up front, in-form Maidstone forward Zavon Hines scored twice in the win at Macclesfield, including an outstanding opener.

He’s partnered by highly-rated teenager Jake Embery, who scored the third goal to give Herne Bay breathing space in their impressive 5-2 FA Cup win at Horsham.
