The Shouting Men column with Gillingham midfielder Billy Bingham

Hopefully I will travelling up to Doncaster this Friday - I want to be on that bus!
I have been back training this week after what has been a very frustrating few weeks.
There is still a little bit of pain in the ankle but it is back to a manageable state.
The injury occurred just after I had recovered from an injury to my quad, I joined in the last bit of training with the boys and my ankle gave way after kicking a ball.
It was probably just my body telling me to calm down a bit. It had taken a lot of load in the previous eight weeks, having had a lot of time off last year with a broken leg. Hopefully now we can go on a run where I don't have to pull up.
There is no denying that it's been a frustrating time here, but I can't dwell on it, because I will get myself to down. It is what it is and this is where I'm at and I just have to go again, as they say.
Injuries have happened, it hasn't been ideal and it isn't what I planned, but I still have eight or nine months left of this season where I will look to make as big an impact as I can and fingers crossed, with no injuries.
The manager here has confidence in me and that is great to hear. He always helps me to have a smile on my face and that is when I get the best out of myself. I feel he does get the best out of me when I play, it is just these stupid injuries.
There are some long journeys coming up but I don't mind the long trips. I used to drive up and down from Crewe every week, I used to come back on the Saturday after a game and go back again on the Monday morning.
I certainly do a lot less miles now and I have a car school as well with Elliott List. He is good company and we have some very deep conversations, he is a deep thinker!
On our travels I share a room with Barry Fuller when we go away and we've already spoken about the possibility of sharing this weekend. He is an all round good guy and I picked wisely!
It is going to be difficult to get back in the team and I know that, there are some good players in there and I have to work hard.
We lost last weekend but being down doesn't get you anywhere, I have learnt that over the last year or so.
The boys are alright, there are a few jokers down there to lift the mood, Max Ehmer certainly thinks he has a bit but whether he has or not I'm not sure.
At times I have used the banter to try and get myself through and to pick myself up, while injured, but obviously when it is on you it is a double downer!
