There seems to be even more of a buzz around the changing room of late.

A lot more people are standing up, speaking and offering encouragement.

You usually get the regular leaders in the group, who encourage and motivate but everyone is together and has the same mentality and goals, which is what makes me so confident we can have a successful campaign.

We have shown several times this season what we can do and I don’t feel nervous or worried.

I was back in the starting line-up at Rochdale, which was great. When there is a lot on the line these are the games you want to be involved in.

Nobody has a guaranteed place and I always prepare mentally as if I am going to start. I do all the right things and my usual routine and once the gaffer names the team, I am ready and focused.

Rochdale went ahead on Tuesday but we got the equaliser and there were chances for us to get all three points. An equalising goal will always give you a lift. It helps you go on and push more and I felt we would get chances.

Credit to the team, they wanted to go and win the game, kept pushing and fighting for the win. Because the team are winners, we are a little disappointed we didn’t pick up all three points but are content with the point.

We have three games left and are looking to do everything we can to win those and finish in a strong position.

It is good to be out there playing and giving my all. If I can contribute to the team’s success for the remainder of the season, I will be happy.

I haven’t been involved in a promotion battle before but during a loan spell with Colchester I was involved in a relegation scrap and that went down to the last game. I can remember the feeling, finishing the game with the result we wanted and other games going our way so we stayed up and it was a brilliant feeling and felt like a cup final.

What we are involved in now is different, with promotion on the cards, but it is almost the
same sort of mentality, the hunger and desire to finish as strong as possible.
