It’s not nice seeing someone you like lose their job but we have to move on.
Justin Edinburgh was a nice person to have around, which makes it a little harder but you have to look forward now.
We’ve got a job to do. The new manager has got us started on the right footing and we’re ready to go.
It’s probably been an ideal time for the new gaffer to come in because he has had a bit of time to prepare for the next game and get his points across.
He has got some different ideas than the previous manager and has been trying to get those across.
We know what he wants us to do and we had an in-house game on Saturday, which gave us a good insight into what we will be doing over the next few weeks.
He got his ideas across, told us how he wants us to play and we are looking forward to it.
We are going to be playing a different way. We have had time to work on it and it’s something we’re looking to nail down.
It’s been a while since our last game now. It’s the second time we’ve had a bit of a break recently and against Bolton it didn’t go well but hopefully we can put in a better performance.
You have to take into account that Bolton are a good team, though.
I don’t think we played terribly, we had some good chances. I think they are the best team we’ve played in the league. We took a thumping from Scunthorpe but I would say Bolton were the better team.
That’s in the past now. We’re looking forward and have 21 big games to go and want to do something this season.
The chairman has said he thinks we can still make the play-offs. It’s a big ask but you have to set yourself those targets.
