Tuesday night’s disappointment against Chesterfield should be easier to get over for the boys because of how we played.

For large parts of the game we did well but it’s just that one moment in the game where we switched off and it’s cost us. It shouldn’t be too hard to lift the boys.

Compared to last Saturday, the performance was a lot better. Everyone worked their socks off, they were working for each other and the game on Saturday can’t come quick enough.

On Tuesday, we looked like a threat going forward and we didn’t have much to do at the back, until the end.

I came close to scoring myself, with a shot that hit the post. It hasn’t gone for me this season and I can’t explain how it hasn’t gone in. Hopefully, a goal will come soon and I don’t care how it comes.

I am always hungry for goals but it’s more about how the team is playing and about picking up wins, which lately we haven’t been getting.

We need to get back to winning ways soon and Saturday’s game is a good time to put it right.

It is a massive three points up for grabs. We need to get a good early start, put them under pressure, then see if we can get an early goal and then kick on from there.

I was unused substitute last time we went to Coventry. I was just coming back from injury and I got told I was going to go on in the second half but we were 4-0 down at the break and he didn’t want to risk me. It was a frustrating day.

We were top-of-the-table that day but football can change quickly. One minute you can be at the top and the next you are at the bottom fighting relegation.

There are still a lot of points up for grabs and let’s see how many we can pick up before now and the end of the season.

Coventry have made a new signing recently, bringing in former Everton striker Yakubu. It’s a good signing, he has a lot of experience, playing in the Premier League. He will definitely bring something to Coventry but it’s our job to make sure he has a quiet day.

He might not be 100% fit but he has got the experience to be in the right spot at the right time. We just need to be aware of him if he plays but the boys will be up for the challenge.
