We’ve had a few days without a game now but the hard work hasn’t stopped.

We have been doing as much work here on the training ground as we possibly can so we’re ready for the Bolton game on Monday.

Just before the break, we were getting into a routine and then it came to a stop, so maybe it was a little bit of the wrong time, as we were doing well on the pitch.

We have to go again but we’ve been training hard. We want to try and keep this run going and push right on for the new year.

It was great to get the three goals in our last game, against Rochdale, and finally a clean sheet. The goals were always coming and it just a case of when.

It had been a while since a clean sheet and I don’t remember being on a run like that before but hopefully that will give us massive confidence going into the Bolton game.

The game is set to be a great occasion, it’s live on television and it’s always nice to be going to a lovely stadium and against a good footballing side.

They are up there for a reason. It will be a good test but we will put ourselves up against anyone.

We can go there and beat them. They are on a high and doing well at home but if we can start like we did the last game we played, then it will be a good one for us.

Bolton are probably one of the favourites to go straight back up. If they are the best or not, we’ll find out on Monday.

We won’t go there thinking we’re not going to win. A draw would be a great point but we’ll be trying to get three.

The last game on TV was the Brackley game in the FA Cup, which was disappointing for everyone at the club.

You get those upsets – we all know that – but we didn’t want to be the ones on the receiving end but that’s the way it was.

Since then we’ve got back to winning ways and hopefully we can carry that on and have a good new year.

If we can say to ourselves that the play-offs are what we want to do, we know we have to work hard for it. We know if you win a few you are right up there but lose and you are back near the bottom.

It’s a tough league and hopefully we can win more than we lose and be in the top six, then who knows what will happen in the play-offs?
