It was great to get my first goal at Priestfield last weekend.

You can really hear that home crowd when they cheer and it was a nice feeling to score in front of them.

My previous goals had come away from home.

The gaffer instructed us to start fast against Bury, on the front foot and to take the game to them.

We started off well and it was good to get the goal early on.

I didn’t really have a celebration, just a little point to my family who were in the crowd. My mum, dad and my brother were among those watching.

My older brother has seen plenty of me play but my previous club was Newport and before that Macclesfield. It was harder for my family to come and watch me, because they are from south London.

Playing closer to home means it is easier for them to come and see me and they watch every home game.

The second goal went in off a defender, I wish I could have claimed it but it was more like a shot/cross anyway and it was off target. Anything can happen when you put the ball in there with a hard cross.

I felt I had a good game and was happy with how the team played.

It was a frustrating game against Swindon on Tuesday.

They came to spoil the game and were playing for a draw and to get a lucky break which they did get.

It was a tough one but we were patient. We moved the ball well and once we got the goal things started to open up a bit more. We were unlucky not to get all three points.
