We’re one step closer to Wembley after Tuesday’s cup win.

Wembley is a place I have never played at before and, as we’ve got a young squad, there aren’t many who have had that chance.

The gaffer asked us all on Tuesday how many had played there and there were only a couple who had.

We were 1-0 down against Crawley at half-time and didn’t want to let the opportunity slip by. The boys came out fighting in the second half and we got a result.

I thought we had played well first half, up until they scored and that rocked us a bit.

We created a lot of chances in the second half but nobody knows just how Jermaine McGlashan missed his chance after he had earlier made it 1-1.

I’m sure he was hurting for a bit after that but he’s taken the banter well. When he came on in the second half he was different class.

Their defender went off with a tight hamstring soon after he came on as he just couldn’t keep up with the pace. You don’t mind a player missing if he is playing well. He certainly didn’t do it on purpose.

We had attack after attack and that was when we were down to 10 men. It was such a different performance from when we went down to 10 against Scunthorpe in the league.

We’re now looking forward to seeing who we get in the semi-finals.

You know you are going to face some decent teams so we are ready for that. There are some big teams left in the competition but we just have to step it up again and do our job.
